Britt Baker vs. The Bunny

Now it’s time to find out who will secure the fourth and final spot in the AEW Women’s Championship fatal-four-way bout at AEW ALL IN 2023 at Wembley Stadium, as Britt Baker’s theme hits and out she comes.

Excalibur points out Baker is wearing the same ring jacket tonight that she wore at ALL IN in 2019. She settles in the ring for our next match of the evening, where the winner joins Saraya, Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm in the fatal-four-way bout for the title on August 27.

Out next comes The Bunny with her friends by her side. She settles in the ring and the bell sounds to get this one officially off-and-running. The fans immediately break out in “DMD! DMD!” chants. The two shove each other and then The Bunny lights up Baker with rapid-fire forearm shots.

Baker fights back and looks for a stomp, but is distracted by Penelope Ford at ringside. This allows The Bunny to take back over control of the offense as Excalibur reads a plug for a special t-shirt to benefit the victims of the Maui Wildfires.

Meanwhile, Baker fights back and takes The Bunny to the top-rope and follows up after her. The Bunny gets her legs scissored around Baker’s throat as she drops back over the ropes. After that, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as this high stakes women’s showdown continues.

When we return from the break, we see the action still in progress. Baker starts to fight her way back into the offensive driver’s seat after clubbing The Bunny with some vicious forearm shots. She gets her set up for the Lock Jaw but has to deal with Ford on the apron.

She does and then turns around and avoids a cheap shot from The Bunny to finish her off. With the win, Baker fills the final spot at ALL IN for the AEW Women’s Championship.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. With A Message For Taya Valkyrie

Backstage, Renee Paquette is standing by with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Paquette talks about Baker’s dominant history in AEW and then mentions how she’s surprised Taya Valkyrie called her out.

She admits she admires Taya and says it’ll be nice to finally share the ring with her. She says she’s gonna swim with the sharks tonight and prove to Taya that TBS is the Britt show.

When we return from the break, we head back inside the MVP Arena where “The Dapper Yapper” Justin Roberts formally introduces Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

The former AEW Women’s Champion and 2022 Owen Hart Cup winner makes her way to the ring for our next match of the evening. She settles inside the squared circle and her theme music dies down.

Now the entrance tune for Taya Valkyrie hits and out she comes for this first-time-ever match-up against Britt Baker.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Baker starts off strong but Valkyrie quickly takes over and begins a prolonged run in control of the offense.

As we head to a mid-match commercial break, we see Taya Valkyrie beating the piss out of Baker with unrelenting ground and pound as the referee warns her.

When we return from the commercials, we see Baker start to fight back into the offensive driver’s seat. Baker ends up getting the LockJaw for the submission win in a good match.

Collar and Elbow Tie Up. Baker backs Saraya into the ropes. Baker applies a side headlock. Saraya whips Baker across the ring. Baker drops Saraya with a shoulder tackle. Saraya is playing mind games with Baker. Strong lockup. Saraya grabs a side headlock. Baker sends Saraya into the ropes. Saraya SuperKicks Baker. Baker regroups on the outside. Baker spins Saraya around the ring apron. Baker with clubbing blows to Saraya’s back. Baker with a Twisting NeckBreaker on the floor. Hayter and Baker began the match with a blindside beatdown on Riho! Ruby jumped into the ring to help her partner Riho.

“It looks like a Tokyo Tornado Match in there,” said Jericho, as all four wrestlers battled before the bell rang.

Soho delivered a right elbow shot to Hayter as the match was finally officially underway. Ruby tagged in Riho who clubbed Hayter with palm strikes. Ruby tagged in again and began to stomp Hayter in the corner. They continued to utilized quick tags to maximize their offense on Hayter.

Jamie Hayter shoved Ruby into Hayter’s corner and tagged in Britt Baker! Ruby was able to get the better of the exchange and then tagged in Riho. Ruby picked up Riho and dropped her on Baker with a combo senton for a near fall!

Britt Baker thumbed Ruby in the eyes and then smashed her with forearms. From the outside of the ring, Rebel grabbed Ruby’s leg, allowing for Britt to get the advantage with a double hook suplex.

Riho and Hayter tagged in for their respective teams. Riho launched herself at Hayter with an explosive dropkick! Britt jumped into the ring so she and Hayter could double team Riho but Riho took them both down!

“Riho launched herself off Baker and spiked Hayter and very nearly got the pin,” said Excalibur.

Riho climbed to the top turnbuckle, looking for the diving foot stomp on Hayter, but Britt shoved Riho! Baker blasted Riho with the ripcord elbow strike. Hayter was in position and nailed Riho with a back breaker. Baker followed through with a thrust kick for a near fall!

“What a combination assault,” said Excalibur.

Hayter attempted a delayed vertical suplex on Riho but Riho was able to land on her feet. Hayter inadvertently hit Baker with a forearm! Riho rolled up Hayter and pinned her!

“Dr. Britt Baker has still never defeated Riho in her career! Will that be the story tomorrow night at Battle of the Belts?” wondered Excalibur.

AEW Women’s World Championship Match!

Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (with Rebel and Jamie Hayter) vs. Tay Conti!

“The top ranked Tay Conti in the biggest professional wrestling match of her career,” said Excalibur.

Baker was played out to the ring by Fozzy’s guitarist!

Baker used a quick rollup as the match began but Tay escaped right away. They shoved one another. Tay grabbed wrist control and tossed Baker around. Tay tried for a cross arm breaker in the ropes but Baker escaped.

“Britt is just slugging her way through this,” said Tony Schiavone.

Britt connected with a fishermen’s neck breaker on Tay! Conti rallied back with a flying knee to Baker’s head! Tay waffled Baker with three pump kicks in the corner! Tay connected with a cross body press on Baker for a near fall! Tay tossed Baker overhead with a release German Suplex for another near fall!

Tay climbed the turnbuckles and Britt kicked out Tay’s ankle. Baker used the curb stomp on the back of Tay’s head! Baker put on the surgical glove but walked right into a stunner from Tay! Baker dropped Tay right on her head with the Air Raid Crash on the apron! Britt wanted the Lock Jaw but Tay slid her hips and got closer to the ropes, preventing Britt from locking it on.

Tay nailed Baker with the Tay-KO and at the last possible moment, Baker kicked out of the pin attempt! Tay found her mark with a pump kick. Tay spiked Baker with the Gotch-style piledriver! Somehow Baker managed to kick out!

Rebel distracted ref Paul Turner and then Jamie Hayter hit Tay with a cheap shot. Britt Baker used the curb stomp on the steel ring steps! Baker applied the Lock Jaw but Tay rolled toward the ropes and forced the ref to break the hold. Tay knocked Baker outside the ring with a pump kick!

“Things are looking bleak for the champion,” said Excalibur.

Tay Conti climbed to the top turnbuckle and moonsaulted Rebel and Jamie! Conti neutralized the champion next! Back in the ring, Tay pancaked Baker with the DD-Tay but Britt kicked out!

“How much more can Britt Baker withstand?” said Excalibur.

Tay put a hammerlock on Britt but Britt cradled Tay and pinned her!

“We said this would be Britt Baker’s toughest challenge yet as AEW Women’s Champion and Tay Conti lived up to that statement,” said Excalibur.

“It could have gone either way,” said Jim Ross.

Tony Schiavone Interviews Dr. Britt Baker

We are taken to a backstage interview, as Tony Schiavone is standing by with Dr. Britt Baker and Rebel. Baker shows the AEW women’s division rankings and talks about only being ranked third with a 7-1 record. She informs us that she will continue to rise now that Red Velvet just lost and announces she will be competing on Monday’s episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.

We get commercials and when we come back Britt Baker with Rebel is on her way to the ring. In the ring

Britt Baker vs Kylin King

They tie up and King is able to put on an arm bar and Baker reverses the arm bar and they work the wrists until Baker flips her. Baker takes her down and hits a curb stomp on King. King gets in a few blows. Baker trips her and pins for a two count. They are up and Baker hits a slap ling into the bottom turnbuckle and keeps working her over on the apron.

Rebel tosses King into the ring. King is able to hits a kick but Baker hits a sling blade, followed by a DDYT and a fisherman’s neck breaker. Baker hits another curb stomp, asked for her glove and locks in the lockjaw. King taps out

From earlier in the day, footage was played of Tony Schiavone interviewing Rebel for an update on Dr. Britt Baker’s medical condition.

Before Rebel could answer, Baker called from her room and told them to turn her wheelchair around so she could address the camera and answer for herself:

“Ladies and gentlemen, the conspiracy continues. We all remember vividly in April when Shida violently busted my nose and I returned to AEW the following week as the Role Model and as the much-needed face of this women’s division. And how was I repaid? My fragile, fractured nose was eventually targeted and taken advantage of.

“Rule #4: Never count out a role model. I’m set for the biggest comeback of all time. Do not count me out…particularly at ALL OUT.”

Tony Schiavone interviewed Dr. Britt Baker at the top of the entrance ramp. Baker said she knocked out Yuka Sakazaki’s tooth last week, because the tooth needed to come out…“and I extracted it for free!”

Schiavone asked Baker for her insight into the match scheduled for later in the evening with AEW Women’s Champion RIHO defending against “the Native Beast” Nyla Rose. Baker replied: “Nyla Rose and RIHO are still number two compared to me! I am a role model. I have three degrees. I was the first woman signed to All Elite Wrestling. This is my division! What I did last week was a statement!”

Britt Baker vs. Priscilla Kelly

They lock up and Baker takes control quickly with a side headlock on the mat. She gets a crucifix on Kelly for a one count, a second one for a two count, and the flip for another two count. It’s now time for a commercial, and they battle during the ads for chips, sammiches and phones.

When we come back Kelly is in control, working Baker in the corner and on the ropes. Baker escapes and pulls Kenny’s hair to drop her to the matt. Baker follows up with strikes and clotheslines. They miss a series of clotheslines, but Baker hits a sling blade for a two count. Kelly recovers with a pump kick and a leg sweep for a two count on Baker. Baker hits a thrust kick, a Russian Leg Sweep and tries to put Kelly in the Lockjaw. They get close to the ropes and Baker uses them to go to the center of the ring, Baker gets the Lockjaw cinched in and taps out.

Tony goes down to interview Baker, and he points out she used nefarious means to win. Baker mocks Tony for having worked at Starbucks before joining the announce team. Baker says that she is a role model, which is a lot of pressure, and she’s the hottest woman on the boat.
